Your destination: the Guji Zone, southern Ethiopia.

Nestled in the highland forests of Oromia at elevations above 6,000 feet, the Guji Zone produces some of the most distinct and sought-after natural processed coffees in the world. Unlike the washed coffees of neighboring Yirgacheffe, Guji beans are dried with the fruit still intact, allowing the natural sugars and fermentation to create a cup that is deeply layered, intensely aromatic, and unmistakably Ethiopian.

This is not a subtle coffee. Guji announces itself.

Flavor Profile:

Blueberry and dark cherry lead the way, followed by a soft winey sweetness and a dark chocolate finish that lingers long after the last sip. Depending on your roast, you may also notice notes of dried fruit, brown sugar, and a subtle floral quality that reflects Guji's biodiverse growing environment.

Why Guji:

Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and the Guji Zone is one of its most celebrated chapters. The smallholder farmers who cultivate these beans have done so for generations, honoring a tradition that predates the global coffee trade. When you choose Guji, you are not just choosing a flavor profile. You are choosing a story, a people, and a place that has defined what specialty coffee can be.

We roast in small batches in South Central Los Angeles to preserve everything that makes this origin special. Every bag is sealed fresh so your journey starts the moment you open it.
